About us

In 1927, Harting Holland was born out of love for the cultivation process. What began as a modest family business has grown over the years into a modern enterprise of no less than 30 hectares. Yet the core has always remained the same: passion for the product and the feeling of doing things together.

Generation after generation, the Harting family has worked with care, knowledge and dedication to build what Harting Holland is today. Today, the company is carried by a close-knit team that, with a keen eye for quality and a big heart for people, continues to build the future together. The involvement in every detail of the process and the shared love of growing are tangible in everything we do as a team.

For us, growth is key: that of our plants, our people and the connection between them. Because everything that receives attention grows. We believe that working together, really listening to each other and being proud together of what we create, is the true strength of our family business.

After almost a century, we still grow with the same love that started it all. And you can taste that love in every product that leaves our company.

Together with Schenkeveld

In 2025, we took an important step towards our vision of the future: we joined forces with Schenkeveld. This cooperation was born out of mutual trust, appreciation and a shared passion for growing top-quality products.

Although we both keep our familiar names, we work closely together internally. By combining knowledge, expertise and resources, we learn from each other and improve our processes. Thus, together we take steps towards one clear goal: moving forward and building a future where cooperation, innovation and growth go hand in hand.

Our culture

Harting Holland is about more than just growing. The way we work, cooperate and look ahead forms the basis for us. Our culture has been developed over the years and is reflected in everything we do, both internally and externally.

Ambitious

Ambition has been a key driver within Harting Holland for decades. We continue to develop our craftsmanship and continuously look ahead to how processes and results can be further improved. This ambition is reflected in both major steps and daily optimisations.

Quality

Quality has several meanings within Harting Holland. It is not just about delivering a high-quality product, but also about the way we cooperate and maintain relationships. Reliability and continuity are key here, both in the short and long term.

Collaborate

As a family business, we are characterised by short lines of communication, commitment and an open working atmosphere. Employees find it easy to find each other and work together towards the same goal. This way of working together is an important pillar within our organisation.

Innovation

To keep evolving continuously, we closely follow new techniques and developments within the sector. By combining experience with innovation, we strive to work more efficiently and sustainably, with respect for the profession.

Team

Behind our tomatoes is a diverse team of committed colleagues. People with different backgrounds, experiences and talents, who strengthen each other in the work we do every day. What characterises us? The short lines of communication, the personal contact and the natural way of working together.

We know each other, help each other and take responsibility together. Experience and fresh energy go hand in hand. This creates a working atmosphere where commitment and fun are just as important as quality.

Wondering what that looks like in practice and what it's like to work here?

Scale up

John decides that economies of scale are necessary to remain successful as a business. In that year, a new horticultural complex on Zijtwende in De Lier was purchased. At the time of purchase, there were 16 hectares of greenhouses and associated buildings on a 35-hectare plot.
