Joining forces with schenkeveld

Harting Holland and Schenkeveld, both leading family firms in greenhouse vegetable growing, are moving into the future together, forming a new combination with shared ownership.
Both companies will continue to operate in the market under the familiar company names. They will keep their own business operations and marketing structure within the new combination. The two family businesses have known each other for many years and the visions and DNA of both companies fit well together.
The collaboration responds to changing market conditions, ongoing consolidation and the desire to be even more innovative, sustainable and efficient within the sector. This is the next step in our ambition to be a top player in greenhouse vegetables. Together with our employees and partners, we are set for further optimisation and growth.
Growth ambition
The combination was formed to achieve further economies of scale, with the aim of further enhancing and professionalising the organisations involved, thereby further strengthening its position. All this without the participation of external parties. This will guarantee a decisive and flexible family business.
The ambitions will be shaped in phases. In the coming period, it will be assessed whether, in areas such as Finance, Data, HR, Energy and ICT, specialisation and possibly centralisation offer advantages. In addition, the focus will be on promoting innovations in cultivation and further sustainability at the various locations.
We believe that this further professionalisation will enable both companies within the combination to continue to grow organically and make acquisitions where possible, so that we continue to play an important role in a sector where consolidation will continue for the foreseeable future.
The management of Schenkeveld and Harting Holland remains in existing hands, with your familiar contacts also remaining unchanged. For more information, please contact them.
