Are you passionate about horticulture and want to start your career in a dynamic and innovative environment? Then you can start at Harting Holland as a Junior Cultivation Specialist. We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Cultivation Specialist who will have the opportunity to learn the trade from an experienced employee. You will learn anything to do with plant growth, from watering and biological pest control to climate settings and heat consumption. You will have the space to learn a lot from your fellow growers and from the Cultivation Advisor, so that you too will become a Cultivation Specialist!

What will you do?
Your main task is to contribute to the highest possible production combined with maintaining a healthy, qualitative and biologically balanced crop. You will support our Cultivation Specialist and you will receive explanation and guidance from him with the aim of eventually being able to grow independently.  

You do this by including:

• Analysing plant and optimising growing conditions
• Monitoring and analysing climate data
• Making measurements and taking samples
• Spotting anomalies and discussing them with the Cultivation Specialist
• The check of crop care and plant protection measures
• Maintaining cultivation records and optimising processes
• Implementing and eventually determining watering strategy and fertilisation          
• You will contribute to improving cultivation methods and increasing yields.

Who are we looking for?
An enthusiastic starter (school leaver) or someone with some experience who wants to develop in greenhouse horticulture. You have a keen interest in plant cultivation, are eager to learn and enjoy a varied job with responsibility. You are accurate, analytical and feel comfortable in a role where you work independently but also cooperate with others.
